Two of the major SUGC tournaments held at Sickleholme
After several days of heavy rain, the greenkeepers, with help from two of our junior members Joe Thompson and Ben Ollerenshaw worked extremely hard to present a 1st class course for the SUGC Stroke play and mid-amateur championships.
Despite the course playing very long the early scoring was very good with Sean Needham scoring a 69 in the second group to set the early pace.
Lewis Hollingsworth from Tankersley Park golf club scored a brilliant 64 to take the Stroke play Championship.
